NotesThe site in front of Halpin House marks the centre of Riseley Village with a local pub, a tennis club, a 'telephone box book exchange', a community orchard, modern business facilities and the newly opened Riseley Village Tea Room. Halpin House is named after Dr. Halpin who fought long and hard to ensure that the local elderly should be given the opportunity to live in the newly built cottages in Riseley. He felt very strongly that local people should be housed in them.
