This planting site is located adjacent to the Parish Hall and Parish Office. The area is very busy with community activity and the newly planted Jubilee Oak will provide a lasting back-drop. It is a very welcome addition as the site previously had a splendid horse chestnut tree commemorating the Riseley and Swallowfield Womens Institute. which, unfortunately, had to be removed. The oak will also add to an amazing garden recently created on the site by the local pre-school and, it is hoped, that people will have a chance to admire what the parents and children have created. It is also a tribute to Mr. Max Bowker who recently resigned from the Parish Council having served since 3rd May 1984.
